The Lava Bold N4 Lite provides a large 5000 mAh battery which will easily last through a full day of typical use. The 6.56-inch LCD screen gives you enough room to read messages and watch media comfortably. However, the low 960 x 540 resolution and basic 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage mean it is only suited for very light, day-to-day tasks.

What works

  • The 5000 mAh battery capacity easily lasts a full day of basic use without needing a recharge.
  • The 6.56-inch display size gives you enough space for comfortable reading and viewing.
  • Locker room support from a domestic brand means easier access to local service centres across India.

What does not

  • The 960 x 540 display resolution lacks sharpness for clear text and detailed videos.
  • The 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage configuration will struggle with heavy apps and multitasking.
  • Low component capability limits long-term resale value in the local market.

Spec scores — worked out from the specification sheet (chip, battery against screen size, display, camera, ANC…) and the store price, not from hands-on testing. Sound quality and a watch's accuracy are not on a spec sheet, so part of those areas is the price class among similar products. Areas the specs cannot tell us are left out.

Before you buy

Things the product page will not tell you

  • The 960 x 540 screen resolution is quite low, making text and images look less sharp.

  • The 32 GB storage fills up quickly if you store many photos or apps.
