Is it any good?

Spec score: 66 out of 100

The Samsung A36 5G in Dark Green offers 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, putting it in line with standard mid-range needs. While it supports 5G networks, the use of an LCD display and limited battery capabilities mean it faces stiff competition. Samsung's presence in India ensures easy access to service centres and decent resale value, but you should weigh the price against its plain feature set.

What works

  • The 128 GB storage gives you plenty of room for apps and photos.
  • The 8 GB RAM helps keep everyday multitasking running without annoying stutter.
  • 5G connectivity keeps your mobile internet ready for faster networks.

What does not

  • The LCD display lacks the rich contrast and deep blacks found on OLED panels.
  • The battery setup has limitations that may require a midday top-up during heavy use.

Spec scores — worked out from the specification sheet (chip, battery against screen size, display, camera, ANC…) and the store price, not from hands-on testing. Sound quality and a watch's accuracy are not on a spec sheet, so part of those areas is the price class among similar products. Areas the specs cannot tell us are left out.

Things the product page will not tell you
